The beautiful old town of Tallinn, capital of Estonia, is on UNESCO's World Heritage list. NMBU has a partner university in Tartu, the second largest city in Estonia (101.000 inhabitants) where over 40% of the population are under 30 years old. The country is experiencing strong economic growth, and about 300 Norwegian companies are established here. A stay in Estonia may give you valuable insight into one of Norway's partner countries. The Estonian University of Life Sciences (EMÜ) was founded in 1951 and has approximately 3.700 students. EMÜ focuses on sustainable development within agriculture, forestry, food sciences and environmental studies.
