MiNDS comprises four specialized research groups focusing on different areas of microbiology, biomedicine, nutrition, bioinformatics, and environmental research. These groups collectively encompass a wide range of research topics with a shared commitment to contribute to sustainability.

MiNDS’ primary focus is the study of human-associated microbes, examining both their beneficial and harmful effects. Our research covers various fundamental aspects, including antimicrobial peptides, cell wall synthesis, antibiotic resistance, microbial diversity, nutrition, host-microbe interactions, clinical trials and animal models, in addition to applied and translational science connected to the respective fields.

MiNDS prioritizes the education of researchers and research ambassadors, fostering innovation and providing science-based advice in the fields of management and politics.
