Department of Building and environmental technology
We educate students in construction and environmental engineering with an emphasis on sustainability. Our research areas include how we can make the construction industry more environmentally friendly, for example through circular economy and material selection, and how we can ensure clean drinking water, handle surface water issues, prevent pollution and develop future water treatment plants.
The department consists of approximately 40 people, including fellows and postdocs.
Do you want to work with providing clean water?
As a student on our master's program in Water and environmental engineering, you learn how we can provide clean water for society and create a safe environment without pollution. These are some of today's biggest environmental challenges, both in Norway and internationally.
Do you want to create buildings that are adapted to the climate and environmental challenges of the future?
The master's program in Structural engineering and architecture emphazises understanding and competence at the intersection between the traditional civil engineering and civil architecture education. You can choose between two fields of study: building construction and architecture or house building technology.
