Workshop on Vibrational Spectroscopy for Bioscience applications

Workshop lab opening

๐Ÿ“… Date: 14th of November 2024
๐Ÿ•’ Time: 10:00-16:00
๐Ÿ“ Location: TF1-101, ALFA, Realtek

Are you interested in exploring vibrational spectroscopy and its applications in biosciences? The Biospectroscopy and Data Modeling (BioSpec) group at the Faculty of Science (REALTEK), NMBU, hosts an advanced vibrational spectroscopy infrastructure which is specifically designed for biotechnology, food science, and environmental research. We invite you to join our upcoming workshop, where we will show our facilities and demonstrate its use with real-world case studies. You will have the opportunity to participate in live lab demonstrations such as real-time bioprocess monitoring, vibrational microspectroscopy and explore new photonic solutions.

๐Ÿ“Speclab tour: Demonstration of IR and Raman microscopes for single cell measurements
๐Ÿ“Biolab tour: Demonstration of spectroscopy-based monitoring techniques for bioreactors
๐Ÿ“Photonics lab tour: Demonstration of portable photonic solutions for application in industrial environments

Preliminary program

We will provide coffee and snacks during the coffee breaks. For lunch, you may use the cafeteria in Sรธrhellinga which is close to the meeting locations and close to the labs.

Registration

Early registration is recommended as number of places are limited.
