Peru is known for its educational system and has been hailed as the best educational system in Latin America by UNESCO and the World Bank, among others. With a good academic reputation and an exciting historical context, Peru offers a unique and enriching learning environment.
The ancient Inca empire, a Native community that existed in South America between 1100 and 1500, had its centre in today's Peru. At that time Cusco was the capital, and today the city is a known base for the most visited tourist destination in South America, Machu Picchu. The capital of Peru today is Lima, a city with approximately 8,4 million inhabitants. This is also where you can find NMBUs partner university.
Partner University: Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL)
Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL) is a private university founded in 1995, and is located in the capital of Peru, Lima. USIL has invested considerable resources in internationalisation, and consequently much teaching takes place in English.
