About

University of Hohenheim is located on the outskirts of the city of Stuttgart, which is the capital of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Universität Hohenheim has many similarities and overlapping subject areas with NMBU. It is an internationally oriented university with 9,500 students, of which 15% are international from almost 100 different countries. The university is an important contributor to sustainable economy, agriculture and social development at global and local level, by facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration between the various faculties and academic centers in Hohenheim. The university is a short train ride away from Stuttgart.

  • *The Agreement

    The agreement applies to agricultural studies, plant science, agroecology, soil science, environmental science, water science, nature management, ecology and food science. The agreement also applies to economics and administration, both bachelor's and master's level.

    Three places for one year each (possibly six students for one semester each) within agricultural subjects/food science. For economics/ØKAD there are 2 places for one semester each (alternatively one student for a whole year).

    Length of stay

    1 - 2 semesters.

  • Who can apply

    For all Erasmus agreements, you must have completed 60 credits before your stay abroad begins

  • Language of instruction

    English (only at Master's level) and German. A minimum of B2 in English or German is required.

  • Semester timing

    Autumn semester: October - February/March

    Spring semester: April- August

  • Tuition Fees

    Erasmus students must pay semester fees and register at NMBU for the semester they are abroad, but then do not have to pay semester fees or other tuition fees at the agreement university.

  • Housing

    The university does not guarantee housing for all exchange students, but they try to help everyone
