About

University of Exeter (UoE) is a research university that is considered one of twelve elite universities in the UK. The university was founded in 1955. UoE has large park areas with a short distance to both the city center and the coast. In addition, UoE has some of the best sports facilities in the country. The UoE has always been a leader in student satisfaction in the UK's National Student Survey. Exeter is a historic city with a rich history long before the arrival of the Romans in AD 50, which is reflected among other things, in it's diversity of historic and ancient buildings. 

  • Agreement

    The agreement applies to various study programs within natural sciences, technology, computer science, engineering, biology, etc. (at bachelor's level).

    Number of study places
    2.5 students for one year or five students in one semester.

    • Length of Stay
    • 1 to 2 semesters.

    *Erasmus+: Due to Brexit, we are unable to guarantee funding for studies in the UK, this means that the Erasmus scholarship is subject to available funds.

  • Who can apply

    For this particular agreements it is necessary to have attained 60 credits with NMBU applying to go on an exchange study abroad. UoE has a minimum grade point average requirement of B.

  • Language of Instruction

    English

    English language requirements
    UoE requires B2 in English skills. It can, among other things, be documented with a minimum of 4 in English from VGS or IELTS score of 6.0 or above.

  • Semester timing

    Autumn semester: September - December.
    Spring Semester: Januar - Juni.

    Academic calendar

  • Tuition fees

    Erasmus students must continue to pay for NMBU’s semester fees, plus register with NMBU whilst they are on exchange. However, it is not necessary to pay any types of fees at the partner university.

  • Study credits

    60 credits at UoE = 30 ECTS at NMBU

  • Housing

    It can be challenging to find housing and so you need to start your housing search early.
